Related Factors that Cause Vitiligo
The morbidity of vitiligo is about 0.1% to 2% in the world and it occurs in adolescent group more often. The appearance and development of vitiligo is related to many factors, researches suggest that vitiligo is an autoimmune disease and isn't contagious. It is a condition that the one's immune system attacks and destroys the body's own cells.
From the perspective of the cause of disease, the decrease or disappearance of melanophore's amount in skin and hair follicle leads to vitiligo , the reduction or disappearance of tyrosinase's activity in melanophore, too, which give rise to the localized or reddish depigmentation lesion caused by progressive reduction in melanin production. That is the root cause of vitiligo, and there are also many factors that influence it:
①Melanocytes'self-destroying
②Internal secretion
③Spirit, nerve and chemistry
④Autoimmune
⑤Damage of radical
⑥Oxidative stress reaction
⑦Relative lack of tyrosinase
⑧Genetics
