Vitiligo with Race, Blood type
Vitiligo is a condition that causes patchy loss of skin coloring (pigmentation). The average age of onset of vitiligo is in the mid-twenties, but it can appear at any age. It tends to progress over time, with larger areas of the skin losing pigment. Some people with vitiligo also have patches of pigment loss affecting the hair on their scalp or body. in this article i will introduce the relationship between vitiligo and race and blood type.
The vitiligo and ethnicity
It is well known that the occurrence of vitiligo have a close relationship with the loss of melanin. We can see from the melanin’s metabolism process. There is no much difference for different race people with the vitiligo, but the data shows that, people with dark skin have the higher morbidity than the white skin people, the yellow skin people’s morbidity of the vitiligo is between the black skin people and white skin people. However the same race different region people still have different probability have the vitiligo. It’s because there are many risk factors to cause the vitiligo. it close related to dietary, work, and living environment.
The vitiligo and the blood types
The human being’s blood types can be divided to four types which are type O, type A, type B, and type AB. The scholars have done some tests and researches about vitiligo patients’ blood types, the study results and statistical materials show that all kinds of blood type person have the risk to get the vitiligo. There is no direct relationship between the onset of vitiligo and the blood type.
